Hello Early Childhood Families,

Hooray!!  We had 4 straight days of school.  I was so happy to have students in the building for a typical week 😊

It has been brought to my attention that we have students walking into the building finishing their lunch or breakfast at drop off.  For health and safety reasons, students are not allowed to walk into the building if they are still eating.  Please park your car to allow your student to finish their meal and then either walk them up to the drop off door or the main office door.  If it is after the start of our school day, you will be required to sign them in and they will be marked tardy.

Please see the information below and sign up for Family Literacy Night.  It is a super event with a great story and activities!

Family Literacy Night

EC Family Fun Literacy Night

Bring Your Family and Join Us for some fun!

Please join us for a fun and engaging night as we explore the world of literacy through stories, games and songs centered around the story “The Very Cranky Bear”.

With the increasing size of our program students are allowed to attend the night with two adult family members and will be assigned to a classroom for the event. (Due to the size of our classrooms, we cannot accommodate additional children/siblings to this event).  Parents/Guardians/Family members are encouraged to be actively engaging with their child during the story and activities of the night.

Where:  Batavia Early Childhood Center

When:  Thursday, Feb 29th  2024  6:00-7:00 p.m.

Please RSVP here by completing this online form

Or, You can print the form from this flyer and return it to your child’s teacher

We are Hiring!

Are you or anyone you know a nurse ready for a change in your work environment? If so, we have amazing opportunities for you. Join our health services team at Batavia Public Schools and help shape the future for students. You would be helping students stay healthy, safe, and achieve greatness at school. We have two openings within the district for licensed RNs.  One would be per diem as an RN substitute for the district. This would allow you to work when needed. The other opening is for a permanent RN sub position. This would be a full-time position with the option to take benefits (medical, dental, vision, and a pension). You can work your student’s schedule – no weekends, holidays, or summers. To apply for these and all other positions open at BPS101, please visit our Human Resources Department page on our website.

PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY roadway signs are available for residents and businesses to post on their property. The signs are an effort to provide a visual reminder to drivers to be careful in the warmer months, and the beginning of school, when more bicyclists and pedestrians are sharing the road. The signs are available at Batavia City Hall, 100 N. Island Ave., the BPS101 administrative offices, 335 W. Wilson St., the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave., and the Batavia Park District administrative offices, 327 W. Wilson St.
