Kinder Walk Parade

To mark their transition to kindergarten, students in the Early Childhood program at Alice Gustafson Elementary School, participated in a first-ever Kinder Walk Parade!

Each BPS101 elementary school principal or assistant principal was at the event to meet the incoming kindergarten students and walk in the parade with them. EC students each received a T-shirt with their elementary school mascot to get them excited about the 2018-19 school year. T-shirts were generously funded by the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence.

Prior to the Kinder Walk Parade, EC students participated in a “Celebration of Learning” event. Parents and other special guests were invited to this pirate-themed day where EC students led the way to their classrooms and the outdoor courtyard for story time, art projects, water activities, pirate dress up, playground fun, and more.
