About Us

The Early Childhood (EC) program is housed within Alice Gustafson Elementary School. It is the instructional home for approximately 120 children ages 3 to 5 years who join the Early Childhood program either by qualifying for services after participating in a free Early Childhood screening, or by enrolling in the BPS101 Community Preschool.

For more than 30 years, our Early Childhood program has helped preschoolers with special needs to receive a solid educational foundation. The Early Childhood program incorporates best practices from special and general education, introduces activities for blended classrooms, and improves the early education experience for typically-developing children as well as children with special needs.
